Right from the opening scene the quality just oozes. Visuals, sounds, and voice acting are all exceptional.I can't imagine this not deserving a place in every VR library.I'll put my one dispointment hidden in spolier tags.... My main driver for purchase was a story by Philip K.♥♥♥♥♥♥ and while I did enjoy it, I found the story a little disappointing because it's basically The Wizard of Oz without some characters.. BRAVO 💗.💗. A really great experience.. The 22GB download was a bit of a slap in the face. Also, keep in mind the scale of this show changes ( it is not life size ) . Sometimes it is small and sometimes the characters are large. The story was good, the ending dragged on a bit. Last gripe was that it's quite dark and for a younger audience ( 10 and under ) it might be a bit scary. Once the show starts though it's good and the production value is quite nice. I enjoyed the early chapters the most with the enviornments being interesting and the voice overs being very good. I got some performance stuttering towards the last scene as well for some reason (Vive Pro, 1.5ss, 1080 ti, wireless) but over all it was fine. I recommend it, it's a good sit down experience for the price.. Wow, what a nice concept. Can recommend it ! Interesting Story, good music and overall a good experience!. As a filmmaker, I was intruiged by this game and it's push into VR as a storytelling platform. After all it was only $5.But alas, the writing is pretty flimsy and the graphics are very telltale-esque which isn't bad. Although, I feel like they didn't get the scale right. Viewing in VR, you feel like you are watching a mini-world rather than being in there with them. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not. I got about halfway through before I lost interest in the story although I do feel I need to finish it to get a good idea of the whole film.If you have $5 to spare and want a "eh" experience, go for it. If you're pinching your pennies, I'd recommend keeping your cash.. Thought it was a game, but it was a VR short story/movie. A truly beuatifully made VR short that shows the capabilities of VR as a cinematic experience. A very beautifully told story that went in some directions I really didn't see coming, great camera work, lighting and overall atmosphere. We need more VR movies of this quailty it adds so much more to the experience it is unreal. The Great C is perfectly showing that VR not only works great for games but also for movies. The Great C is a clear recomandation!. Very ambitious concept with an attempt to demonstrate what cinematic VR films can be like. Good camera work, lighting and overall atmosphere. But notable its weakest link was in the many opportunities missed in expressing emotion in the characters facial animation. Early scenes suffered from feet clipping into the ground as well. A good soundtrack but again voice acting felt a bit lack lustre. I felt moments that were meant to have strong impact did not resonate with me because of the voice acting and facial animation. Overall I enjoyed it and would like to see more of this content in the future.. A little bit of a generic story, but told in a fantastic way, with beautiful environments and great production values. Well worth watching, and I can only hope that there will be more story telling like this in the future. New Updates!: Thank you to everyone for watching The Great C and leaving feedback and reviews.
