It's realistic and the "monsters" and characters all look really cool. The concept is also interesting, basically a more or less pokemon match 3 game.But that's it. The character have an odd, old-fashioned style of speaking, the story is messed up and the gameplay...well I liked the first chapter. But now I see that there is some stupid idle penalty when you dont match 3 tiles in one go. Without the ability to mix up the board IF THERE ARE SIMPLY NO MATCHES LEFT.Also the in-game map. Ugh...you have no way of seeing the whole map, battles take way too long and you encounter the same monsters every 3 steps. Just don't try it unless you want to be super annoyed and disappointed that they completely failed such a nice looking game.. When right in the first zone after the tutorial, in the 2nd battle my lvl3 beasts drop like flies to a lvl1 mob, because it pops attacks faster then I can possible react, I'm fairly sure the design department failed really hard.. Gyromancer is a solid puzzle game that combines a simple crystal matching system with an adventure mode and selectable creatures that bring a tactical advantage to each match. The music is well done and the artwork is very good although cutscenes do not use any animations and are mostly reliant on text updates. The Steam Overlay is supported but widescreen modes are not, resulting in a letterboxed image and squished aspect ratios on the intro splash videos. While these minor issues are irritating, they are not enough to prevent me from recommending this title to anyone who enjoys puzzle games, particularly fans of Pokemon or Magic the Gathering will find the tactical system adds an extra layer of interest to an otherwise fairly standard puzzle game system. While not an essential title to anyone's collection Gyromancer a competent entry in the puzzle genre.. Bejeweled like game with storyline. Its ok but less relaxing then Bejeweled.. Really cool game, addictive af. The game's a bit repetitive though, Good visuals and good music too.. It's basically Bejeweled Twist meets Pokemon, with a tacked-on story and Final Fantasy-inspired characters.I enjoyed playing this and if you are in the mood for a fantasy-themeed puzzler that requires a little bit of thought, or you want a generic story to go along with it, then you'll probably like this. A decent casual RPG puzzle game.. Starts out kind of fun then after the 4 or 5 hour mark hits you with a rule that if your move does not directly result in tiles being cleared youll get penelized. Its not something the computer has to follow.
